Add the Home Networking Package to your TiVo® service, and you'll suddenly discover your TiVo media device can do so much more than receive and record TV! By connecting your TiVo to your PC or Mac via your home network, you can unleash amazing new features.
You can stream or transfer your personal photos, music and home movies from your home computer and enjoy them on the big screen and through the good speakers in the living room. And you can transfer TiVo recordings seamlessly to your PC to watch them at a more convenient time, or ready for converting to a portable player.
What can I do with the Home Networking Package?
The Home Networking Package is amazing. It enables you to do all this:
- Stream music and photos to your TiVo media device from a PC or Mac.
- Transfer home videos from your PC to your TiVo media device.
- Transfer TiVo recordings to your PC.
- Convert music and video files for other devices, such as the Apple iPhone, PlayStation Portable, Blackberry and heaps more!
- Watch a wide range of video and music formats, including DivX!
- Enable multi-room viewing!
PLEASE NOTE:
Mac users also need to install third party software called Roxio® Toast 10 Titanium to take full advantage of the Home Networking Package.
Because the Home Networking Package makes use of internet connectivity, it can take up to 24 hours for your TiVo media device to become network enabled. We will send you a Media Access Key. You can find it by navigating to TiVo Central / Messages & Settings / Account & System Information / Media Access Key.
The Home Networking Package contains software for you to download onto the PC or Mac which is on the same home network as your TiVo media device. Your use of the Home Networking Package is subject to terms and conditions as well as a licence agreement regarding your use of the TiVo Desktop software for PC or Mac within it, which comes with some useful and important Release Notes about the software, compatibility requirements and issues which can arise depending on the set up of your home network. By using the Home Networking Package, you agree to the terms and conditions set out in these documents. Please read them carefully
